Watching "Jessica" at Kapuso the other night brought back memories of my days in Seoul, Korea. The TV show clearly depicted several Sundays of what Armi and I experienced when we had our stint, selling telephone prepaid cards to Pinoys in Hyewa Dong church. (grabe.. ngayon alam na namin ang feeling ng mga sampaguita vendors sa simbahan pag linggo.. nyahahha.. kakaiba talaga ang experience ng mangibang bansa..i’ll talk about it on my future post )

The mecca of Pinoy goods in Seoul, the place sports Filipino delicacies (suman, palabok, lugaw etc..) and products (Likas papaya, chocnut, Tortillos, atbp..) It’s a virtual Quiapo as pirated CDs and DVDs could be seen at each nook and cranny of the whole avenue..

Filipino TNTs (tago ng tago), tourists, OFWs.. Hyewa Dong is a magnet for all our kababayans.. E ma-miss mo lang ang Pinas, punta ka dito and you’ll be transported back to our country.. Pano yan, Seoul naman miss ko? Punta na lang sa Korean Town sa Makati Ave., dodong..

It was Friday afternoon and I was not looking forward to it.. I was on the dumps yesterday for no apparent reason. Wala lang.. I would have wanted to meet my friends but it looked like everybody was busy (heheheh.. aileen, muriel, selle.. kinukonsensya ko kayo.. ) Riding the MRT, I was pleasantly surprised when Ruth texted me and asked if it was ok to meet up at Megamall.. Siempre go ako.. I’m expecting to be coop up at home the whole weekend and I wanted to just hang-out with friends muna on a Friday night..

Sitting near the glass window of McDonald’s, I began my habit of people watching.. A girl mumbling something while texting as she waits for her boyfriend who was late in coming.. A couple walking hand in hand as the guy steals a quick kiss on her girl.. A yaya feeding her "alaga" hamburger which she just bought from the fastfood.. A group of students walking, probably on their way home from school.. Different people.. different lives.. some were happy.. some were sad.. (hahahha.. ang corny.. sorry ha.. walang masulat e..)

One may be faced with a difficult situation at a time..but the fact is.. each individual have their own lives to live and issues to delve with.. you are not alone in the world.. i am not alone in this drama called life..

People watching.. it’s really an eye opener.. When you thought you’re the only one who’s experiencing life.. you see people getting on with their lives..

Teka.. nasan na nga ba si Ruth? Late ata.. ayon na pala.. tara let’s eat that hamburger and fries, I was suddenly craving for..

I was on my normal mode blabbing about my recent "kimchi" (as aileen would call it).. "Kim Rae won is hot.. cute smile..he has a body to die for.. etc.. etc.."

His latest series (well not really his latest but you can call it one as its currently being shown in local TV) introduced him to girls who go gaga over hot Korean fafas.

I’ve seen "Attic Cat" a year ago and RaeWon is really one charismatic guy, you could easily loose yourself in his smile..

Anyways, this chit-chat was all background noise to my officemate. One evening, she was surfing the local channels and finally got to see "Attic Cat". The next morning, this was what she told me.. "Lam mo Aireen nakita ko na yong pinag-uusapan nyong palabas.. ‘attic cat’ pala yon kala ko ‘Ate Kat’.. " nyhahhaha..

Being of Visayan descent, we were always alluding to the dialect and sometimes uses its accent for the heck of it.. (Lenny is an expert on this.. hehhheh).. Kala tuloy ni Ate Bliss naga-bisaya na naman kami..hehhheh

Wala lang.. this is now an ongoing joke in our group.. ako si Ate Kat, Ate Bliss si Lola Kat, Ate Marlyn — Miao, Tess — Muning at si Lenny si Pussy Cat.. nyahahhah.. I’ll post the pictures on Monday.. Ciao!!!

I was wondering what’s the hype about owning a blog.. You need to log on the Internet then post away all your views (even angst) for people to see… Hahahhah.. parang exhibitionist in a different kinda way.. nyekks.. baka patayin ako ng mga friends ko na addicted sa pagba-blog.. teka meron ba?

I have lots of friends who are writers pero I have yet to see them create their own blog… Sabi nga nila: "Ano ba, sa araw-araw na lang na ginawa ng Diyos e puro sulat na ginagawa natin.. tapos sulat na naman sa blog.." Onga, ako din tinatamad ng magsulat.. I sometimes wonder what my life would be if I have not taken writing as my profession.. (siguro mayaman nako ngayon.. hehhehe)

Hmm.. I could have taken computer science or maybe nursing as my undergraduate degree.. pero come to think of it, kung yon kinuha ko.. siguro di pa rin ako graduate hanggang ngayon.. nyahhaha..

But I’m veering away from topic at hand.. bakit nga ba ako nagcreate ng blog? well..gusto ko e.. bakit ba? hahhahhah.. pero kidding aside, ok tong maging outlet ng mga kapraningan sa buhay.. and i could write anything I want and not be conscious if I do make sense.. aba.. nakikibasa lang sila, pagtyagaan nila kung ano sinulat ko.. hehhehe..

But I do wish that this piece would not be exposed to readers.. Meron bang blog na di nababasa ng iba? Parang online diary na ako lang magbabasa? Hmm.. parang kahiya magshare ng thoughts, knowing that other people may see it..
